Wanna know what dating was like when Kelly Ripa was growing up? On this morning's 'Live,' Kelly details the adolescent dating process as it was in her day. "This is how it went," she explains, "The phone would ring, the only phone, which was mounted to the kitchen wall with a cord." Then Kelly pantomimes the process of untangling the cord and stretching it as far as it could go so her parents couldn't hear.

All of that, just to hear someone on the other end say, "Um, Steve wants to know if you'll go out with him. Do you accept?" After saying yes, Kelly explains, "You wouldn't speak to each other ever again in school, ever, you wouldn't look at each other." Then a few weeks later, the phone would ring, and Steve's friend would tell you "he doesn't want to go out with you anymore."
