Now that he's safe and sound, the parents of 10-year-old Quentin Tokar are ready to share the story of their son's bizarre stingray incident. 'Today' anchor Meredith Vieira sat down in the studio with parents Peter and Candace Tokar to get the family's account of the almost unbelievable fishing accident, in which a stingray's barb flew at least 8 feet from where a group of fisherman where reeling in their catch and lodged itself into Quentin's stomach.

"Of course, my initial reaction was to yank it out," Peter recounts. Fortunately there was a nurse on the pier who screamed "No don't pull it out!" As the barb worked its way deeper into Quentin's stomach, Peter tells Meredith that he "passed out." When asked how Quentin handled himself, Peter replies "He was a trooper... Never once lost consciousness, he talked to us the whole time. It was amazing."
