The woman who was attacked by a monkey at her hotel in upstate New York is speaking out. 'Early Show' anchor Harry Smith sits down with Parvin Hajihossini to discuss the horrifying incident in which the escaped monkey gouged her face. Parvin explains that she took a picture of the monkey in its cage and then continued exploring the grounds, when "Suddenly I saw the monkey in my face." During the attack, Parvin explains that she thought she would die, or else lose her face entirely.
Multiple images on screen emphasize the deep lacerations the attack left on Parvin's left cheek. "Once the public health authorities got involved, the owner of the monkey decided to flee," explains Parvin's attorney Rich Ancowitz. The owner of the monkey just happens to be famed painter Allen Hirsch, who has refused to either comment or turn over the monkey.
