Arkansas school official Clint McCance resigns after his callous, anti-gay Facebook rant sparked a wave of protest and hurt across his district. 'Good Morning America' correspondent Steve Osunsami chronicles the aftermath of the diatribe, posted in response to last week's "Day of Purple," an event designed to raise awareness about the suicide rate of gay teens. "Seriously, they want me to wear purple because five queers committed suicide," writes McCance on his Facebook page. "The only way I'm wearin' it for them is if they all commit suicide."

After meeting with some of the families of the bullied teens, McCance retracted his statements and agreed to resign from the board. "I've hurt those families again, after they've already been through a terrible, terrible tragedy. And I felt like I needed to resign to heal some wounds. It was the right thing to do," McCance tells ABC.
