A creative teen is hoping that the power of song will score him a prom date with country star Taylor Swift. 'Morning Express' host Robin Meade chronicles the Alabama student's online proposal. "Seventeen-year-old James Powers didn't have a date for the prom, so he made up a song for his dream date Taylor Swift. He actually sang a parody of her song, 'Our Song,' and he called it 'Our Prom,'" Meade reports as the YouTube footage rolls.

"I realized that all my friends had dates to the prom and I didn't," Powers explains in an interview. "I made a little video of me singing it, playing it to her, posted it on YouTube, told all my friends about it and it just blew up." Powers reveals that he's had a crush on Swift since the 7th grade. "No word from Swift," Meade reports.
