The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2011

Ladies in red! The stars came out last night to strut down the runway at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection show, kicking off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at New York's Lincoln Center. The Red Dress show's main goal is to raise awareness of heart disease -- and celebrate fiery women everywhere, this year in the form of Patti LaBelle, Dita Von Teese and Suzanne Somers. And our sister blog, Luxist, was lucky enough to get backstage interviews with some of these stunners.

Watch footage of the 2011 Red Dress Fashion Show, live at Fashion Week in New York City!

I just loved the show, all the models, and of course, the dresses. Red is my favorite color! I always get a lot of compliments when I wear it. Thank you ladies! You all looked marvelous and beautiful! It was for a great cause. Every one in my family has died of a heart attack so I really appreciate and thank them for this show and for giving of their time. Blessings to all of you!

OK event was very important, and the ladies were all lovely, BUT....but where were the full figured gal's at? I saw women of different ages, different races, and one very pregnant, very beautiful woman. But not one full figured woman.

"THANKS.....THANKS ALOT!

GOOD SHOW BUT YOUR CLEARLY STILL MISSING THE REPRESENTATION OF MOST WOMAN IN THIS COUNTRY!

I wish I received an invitation to this event...I am 51 years old and my life has changed completely because of inhereding CHF from my father 3 years ago when he passed away from the same disease. I now have a pace maker defib for 1 year and my children and husband and family have been 100% by my side and I can't tell you the support they all give me. My husband told me to show off my scar and living thru technology is the new ????. thing. Whatever..I'm afraid every day for my life. I am not a celeb and I don't know how to get my story out ther. I am just as important if not more important then them. Sorry just wanted to get myself out ther. Thanks!!!

What a great advertisement to watch your heart. The girls looked great of course and I feel that they watch for signs and check their heart.

Beautiful dresses and for a wonderful cause. Can we get a few more conventional sized women next year? Gayle King shouldn't worry about Utube. She didn't represt full figured women, but she did represent real middle aged women very well.
