On today's 'Morning Joe,' Willie Geist chronicles a rather unusual meeting between Wu-Tang rapper Raekwon and Illinois Senator Christine Radogno to discuss the state's budget woes. "Everybody on the panel in Washington, familiar with the Wu-Tang song 'C.R.E.A.M.?' Cash rules everything around me, 1993?" Geist asks the MSNBC panel. At this, a few of them reply, "Of course!" Raekwon was playing a concert in Springfield, Illinois, when he reportedly met with Radogno to discuss the state budget. "She invoked Raekwon on the floor of the state legislature, let's listen," says Geist.
A photo of Raekwon appears as we listen to Radogno relay the rapper's financial "advice" straight from the song: "Nowadays, we all know that cash rules everything around us, CREAM. Get the money, dollar dollar bill, y'all."
