A fugitive monkey in the Tampa Bay area has achieved folk hero status after being captured on numerous cell phone videos and photos across a large swath of central Florida. 'Good Morning America' correspondent Steve Osunsami examines the case of this elusive primate. "He's the mystery monkey of Tampa Bay, a celebrity in these parts with his own paparazzi, more elusive than Bigfoot. On the loose for two-and-a-half years, and now a break in the case," Osunsami reports as a new cell phone video of the creature rolls onscreen. This mysterious monkey has been spotted in various neighborhoods across a 100-mile area.
"Authorities think he's a lost pet," Osunsami reports. "At some point, he went from being a fugitive to a folk hero." The monkey has its own Facebook page, mayoral campaign and even musical tributes posted on YouTube.
